About Author
Sofi Thanhauser is a writer and artist who holds degrees in history from Columbia University and in creative writing and environmental and natural resource studies from the University of Wyoming. She teaches at the Pratt Institute in New York. Her articles have appeared in "Vox", "The Guardian", and numerous other publications.
